Una de las ideas más importantes que definen a la accesibilidad no es
solo dar acceso, sino permitir el desplazamiento, es por eso que
una palabra que debe de promoverse para no detener estos
esfuerzos es, “continuidad”
Accessibility must not be defined only by "give access", but to allow all persons displacement, that´s why a word that must be promoted to keep going with the efforts is, “continuity”
Pensar en lograr un México accesible, no solo es una idea que se califique de utópica, que se solucione poniendo un parche aquí y otro parche allá para hacer campaña con estrategia política.
To think in achieve an accessible Mexico, isn't an utopian idea, but isn't either a Mexico that will be achieved by putting an small patch here and another patch there and only for political purpose
México es un país con una población que no se escapa al aumento global de la esperanza de vida, así también, tristemente, México es un país en que los índices de sobrepeso y obesidad en la población están en aumento también, hay que resaltar que además de problemas cardiovasculares y diabetes, la obesidad y sobrepeso provoca en la persona que la padece una movilidad reducida y fatiga sin llegar a ser una discapacidad “convencional”.
Mexico has a population that does not escape from the increase of the human lifespan, we will have an increase of our third age population. Also and this sadly, Mexico has the second highest indication of obesity in the world and this numbers are increasing; and besides the cardiovascular issues and diabetes, obesity also carries a reduction of the person's mobility and fatigue, but both of these are not considered a conventional disability
Solo analizando esto, México es un país que a mediano plazo, va a poseer un gran porcentaje de su población requiriendo de ciudades accesibles, sin dejar de lado que esas ciudades deberán contar con sus respectivos espacios verdes para la salud (en tantos aspectos) y el deporte.
Only looking at this, Mexico will be a country that in mid term will have a big percent of its population needing for accessible cities, cities that also will require green zones for the well being of people and sports
Y esto sin analizar la población existente de Personas con Discapacidad en México, para quienes solemos pensar que solo por ellos existen todos estos elementos.
